Pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona recently gave a misogynistic (though typical) sermon on the qualities of a “virtuous woman.”
Hightlights
- Repeatedly tells women it is their duty in life to cook for husband and children
- States that the public school system is literally run by Satan (and bad mothers don’t homeschool their kids)
- Equates women who talk back to husbands with forms of water torture
- Says he won’t allow his daughters to become independent women
Here is our response:
(And in the waterboarding sketch, yes, we did it for real.)
A virtuous woman is one who has a plan! A plan for breakfast, a plan for lunch, a plan for dinner!
- Pastor Steven Anderson
Prick.

Holy Shit! This man is off the rails! Good work Better Off Damned!
haha! fortunately this guy is a wack job and jesus spent his time elevating women in a misogynistic society.
thanks for sharing this.
All I can say is, WOW! Definitely not going to attend that church anytime in the near future. Oh wait, I don’t go to church. HAHAHA. I remember why again.
Not all Christians are misogynists. And many atheists have maintain that cooking is a natural function of women as “nurturers”–though subjecting nutrients to fire and intense heat is not my idea of being “nurturing.”
Which atheists? Let me guess, white guys with beards. The crowd I know is slightly female dominated, and no one’s had the balls to say anything like that in a face to face setting. Must be an internet thing.
Looks to me like you’re not far from the truth. Wasn’t “The Amazing Atheist” saying something about wanting to rape someone?

what an ass! If women were meant to cook thenwhy ae the majority of famous chefs men?
That’s an extremely brilliant and original question, Fritz Klein.
easy. men get paid to cook. women are expected to do it for free.

Is i just me, or are those claiming that other people are “sexist” and “misogynistic” usually sexist and misogynistic themselves?
