As many have observed, this event barely qualified as a debate. If you don’t have the patience to sit through the arguably fruitless exchange in its long form, our breakdown highlights most of the essentials. Ultimately it’s really a demonstration of the poverty of presuppositional apologetics, as well as the personal immaturity, unprofessionalism, and general bad sport of Sye Ten Bruggencate.

  1. That’s pretty much how I saw the debate but unfortunately I had to waste 2 hours in doing so. As you quite rightly said, this was not a debate, indeed a debate requires at least two people and Matt D. was the only one trying to debate.

  2. I watched it all and was very disappointed with it , not a debate at all, Matt tried to debate this man but it seems very much like he didn’t want to? why did he bother? such a waste of time.

    • the problem is you cant “debate” with a presuppositional apologist because they have a script, they follow point 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 etc, they cant debate anything that doesn’t fit the particular point theyre on at that moment so they basically read a script while the other person tries to have a debate.
